Rachel Reinhardt's passion for jewelry was evident as a young child. At the age of ten, Rachel, a second generation jewelry designer, got her hands on her grandmother's box of antique buttons and began making necklaces with them. Enamored with colors, textures and anything that sparkled, she promised her family that one day she would turn her hobby into a business.
After graduating from Boston University, Rachel held several jobs in the fashion jewelry business learning the trade. In September of 1996, she decided she was ready to branch out on her own and start a business. She learned the skill of design from her late mother who taught her to look at the world not from the surface but in colors and shapes. Her mother taught her how to design and to approach the world of fashion with a fresh eye. Many times when Rachel designs a necklace she hears her mother's voice telling her to add a drop here or a cluster there.
Rachel believes that jewelry should add glamour and fun to every day life. It should not just be saved for special occasions. A simple necklace or an elegant pair of earrings can not only transform your outfit but also your state of mind.
The Rachel Reinhardt collection can be found in over 250 specialty stores around the world.
